Taking a walk around Paris for this job was both lovely and amazing. I had the pleasure of working with owner/creative director Marie Ueda and her company Mariha last fall to create images for a new social campaign.
Nomadic Press is a literary publication based out of Okaland, California, whom I collaborated with on several editorial features characterizing a few of the creative professionals in an artist loft building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
I have recently become an admirer of the art of dance. Having lots of friends in the dance community, it was a natural extension for my work to move into the beauty of the dancing body.
I encountered this group back in early 2016 and was instantly taken with the visual style they were cultivating. It was natural to hold my camera up at these events and document what I was seeing. Ever since, I’ve been following their “Record of the Month" (more like whenever they feel like it) as well as photographing their social scene.
I took a trip in 2015 to stay with my friend Unnur and her Icelandic family. When I arrived in Reykjavik in late August, I thought I would simply be just staying in a spare bedroom, but the moment I walked into the door of my friend's family home, I realized that it was more than just a place to stay, it was intimate look at a wonderful and kind Icelandic family's life.
